In-depth analysis of oilfield properties, assessing potential and risk for informed financial decisions.
Meet the Founder
Kevin Jones is a petroleum engineer based in Lantana, Texas, with over a decade in oil and gas. He specializes in economic evaluations, reserves estimation, and production optimization across the Midland, Delaware, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and Appalachia basins.
As Executive Vice President of Engineering at Tilden Capital (2022 to present), he leads economic underwriting and evaluations for properties across the U.S., applying data-driven forecasting through ComboCurve. Earlier, at Pioneer Natural Resources (2014 to 2022), he managed more than 60 MBOEPD in east Martin County and led a company-wide effort to reduce lease operating expense that brought Pioneer’s LOE to the lowest in its peer group of operators. He also earned the company’s Innovation Champion Award for a business-intelligence database project.
Kevin graduated Cum Laude from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Geological Engineering. He is an expert in ComboCurve for type-curve studies, decline-curve analysis, and net asset valuation, and today provides trusted economic evaluations for mineral owners, investors, and industry professionals.
Whether you’re weighing a property acquisition, evaluating mineral rights, or need reserves analysis, I provide comprehensive assessments for informed decisions.

In-depth analysis of oilfield properties, assessing potential and risk for informed financial decisions.
Accurate reserves estimates from reservoir data to clarify asset value and future cash flows.
Comprehensive evaluations covering cash-flow projections, drillout timelines, and risk assessment for mineral, non-operated, and operated properties.
Tailored guidance for individuals, law firms, family offices, and businesses across the oil and gas sector.
Estate, Tax & Legal
Defensible, engineering-based fair market value for estate settlement, probate, and divorce. Mineral owners, attorneys, and CPAs rely on a clear number and a written report that holds up for the IRS or a court.

We were about to buy into a deal and weren’t sure what the numbers really meant. Kevin walked us through it, and we moved ahead knowing exactly what we were getting.
I had an offer on my minerals and was about to take it. Kevin ran the evaluation and it turned out to be worth a lot more. We kept 10% and still sold for over 70% more than I was first offered.
The complicated deals are the ones we won’t touch without a second opinion, and that’s where Kevin comes in. His evaluations tell us what we’re actually buying before we commit.
